The somatic gestures here do not seem to fit with the spell

considering the fact that the priest does not need to know the language writing, just speaking...

perhaps if he knows the language writing he can 'scribe it', if he knows the language speaking he can 'speak or describe' it....

(( this would open up the ability to use it for languages only known in writing as well as spoken.. i dunno ))

I thought players could not access the planes,

so why is there summon fire elemental?

why is there abjure?

perhaps fire elementals would come from another source, but abjure still does not make sense... it shold be replaced with another lvl 4 spell that is usefull...

Also, there is no mention that they can turn undeads, the clerics can, can the SP's? if not, why do they have the lvl 1 spell combine?

In all cases when the SP differs form the cleric I tried tonote it if there is no note of a difference then they are the same as the cleric so in this case the SP of Fyrre can turn undead.

As to contacting the plains, Thardferr is s sealed cosmos and has no connectoin to any of the other AD&D 2nd Ed plains or worlds, but it does have its own plains of fire earth, an atral plain etc... These can be accessed rarely by players but they do not connect outside the Thardferr closed universe. Thus such spells as Abujure and even atral travel can rarely be gained by higher level clerics fo certain gods.

The 4th level spell: Cause Serious Wounds (Burn) is cast as if a Flamewarrior where 3 levels higher than thier current class.

My only question is... why? Nothing in the spell is affected by the character's level.

There is only one reason why I marked it as such and it is due to a house rule I use.  I let healing by a priest do a minimum of their level in points, up to the max allowed for the spell, to anyone that is a follower of the same god.

Other than this there is no reason to mark it as such. But in case of other special abilities or unknown factors (Perks, flaws, special allowance to save from the spell of whatever) if a level becomes involved, they cast it as if three levels higher.

I agree in most all normal game rules this seems completely unneeded.
