Priests of Sembral cannot become proficient in missile weapons, and the dogma of Sembral precludes the use of missile weapons.

So.... what would a (low level) Battlelord be expected to do (dogmatically) when confronted with a flying opponent in an open area?

Well, wait for the flying opponent to swoop down of course!  Only a very few flying creatures have long-range or breath weapons.  Most -- like birds -- attack by swooping down.

So, you'd wait anxiously for the damn flyer to come within range.

Otherwise, there is always spells.  Hold spells are phenomenal for getting flying things to, well, land.  :wink:

I can't really confirm this... but I think I remember reading/hearing somewhere that they can use projectile weapons that also function as melee weapons.

IE.  Use a spear to fight hand to hand, then throw it when something flies away.  Stab people with daggers, then throw em, bash with hammers then throw, etc.

I could be very, very wrong though.

I cna't answer any questions on Sembral other than how he fgits intot he pantheon, Sembral was the first rewritten god page and was the example we used for all the others. I think Tibor and maybe Nyr helped wirte it mostly. Maybe you can get one of them to check in here and answer this question.
