Site Downtime

Sorry for the recent site outage but unfortunately the person who hacked us did not consider my heavy workload.

I have only just barely managed to get the site running again but it will take considerable work to clean out all of the malicious code and get things running smooth again.  I have noticed that the forum is still somewhat unstable, but is running so thats a good start.

I ask that in the next few weeks you be patient with me while I occasionally temporarily disable the forum to complete these tasks. I will also utilise this time to make some minor changes tot he forum that I have been wanting to do for a long time now, such as clean out the member base, as you may have noticed we now have less than half of the members we had a month ago and the number of members will be declining rapidly as I prune out inactive 0 post accounts.

As this is not the first time we have been hacked and as you will know we have also had trouble with spam in the forum, we have made all new registrations require admin approval before being able to post. 

I will try to keep you informed of any further changes I intend to make and of any planned shut downs for maintenance.

If you experience any error messages while using the forum, please cut and paste them into this thread so I can attempt to track the error and deal with it, please also include what you were doing at the time, ie posting a reply, changing user setting etc.

Thanks for the update. I was curious as to what had happened, was afraid the site might've gone permanently away without an opportunity to back up the data.

I suggest that you try to save any information that is important to you that is stored here as I am away with work for a few days now and would hate for this to happen again and you lose it before I can get things completely repaired.
