The light of a distant campfire seems like a welcome beacon amidst the gathering darkness and the promise of refuge is too compelling to ignore. The scent of burning logs lingers in the air as if almost teasing the tongue, and with it comes the compelling scent of a brace of rabbits slowly roasting as if to welcome a weary traveller.  Seated apon a log and reaching out with a clawed hand covered in finely delicate scales, the campfires occupent tests the readiness of the meat.  Close at hand,
and thrust down point first into the Earth stands a shining longsword reflected in the light of the campfire. Covered in Red Scale armor from head to tow, the reptilian looking humanoid looks up into the shadows where
you are huddled.

"Be at Easse and welcome to my campfire.  Thessee are lonely and dark times, and I welcome the companionsship for a few hourss if your intents are honorable"

Reaching out he places a hand casually upon the hilt of his Sword.  "If yyour intentss are lessss so, be aware that I will wrest the life from your body. I am the hammer of my Faith and my God the Anvil.  If unclean things poison your thoughts or bloodline, then I shall free you of this burden"

Leaning down close towards the fire, his lips pull back from pointed teeth and he begins to blow gently on the Rabbits.  Releasing a gentle breath of fire thats almost delicately caresses the meat, it begins to crisp up suddenly you realize the meal is finally done.

"My kind are few in thesse parts.  I shall introdusse myssself.  I am Al-Hazran StormCrow, and my people are known as the DragonBorn.  At one time we ruled a great Empire but dark things crept into the land and whispered to the weak of eassy paths to power.  Seduced by an ancient Evil many of the people changed over time and our own empire crumbling, we searched for a means to fight back against thiss evil with martial Pride."

Picking up a heavy shield he turns it towards you, the head of a Silver Dragon is painted on the sheilds front.

"This is Bahamaut, the First Dragon that rules in the heavens.  He is a jusst God and itsss my humble honor
to be called into Service in these dark times.  The blood of his children - The dragons themselves, flow in my
veins.  They're bloodline is pure and the power of such a union has strengthened my people to resist the darkness.
Before you sssstttaaands a point of light in the gathering Darknesss, a beacon of hope after the fell day of
Moonfall and the tragic eventss of that day.My Faith in all goodly racess makes me walk a long and lonely road from my dragonkin.   Champions mussst set out from the protection of our cities and confront the fell things that now ssstalk the lands.
I have heard tales from the Sssaagesss of my people, that these abominationsss sstrike without fear of retribution
and feed endlessly on those who cannot stand for themselves.  I am a scion of my people, and will help you
push back the darkness so light and wholesome beings can once again walk these wooded paths without fear.

I am the Retribution of my God.  Be you Friend or Foe.  Decide quickly.  The Rabbits are ready.

This is a great start - though we'll need to discuss a few things.  The closest match to Bahumat for Thardferr is Anthor.  My next suggestion is that travel is next to impossible by one's self without a lot of training; the group's ranger made a trip of about 10 miles and almost died 4 times, that's while she was avoiding the natural creatures and demons.  The further from a city you are the stronger the demons so it's more likely that Al-Hazran hails from the city of Celusia, one of the few strong dragonborn populations left after the war between the Tieflings and Dragonborn.  For the most part people travel in armies, finding protection in numbers, only the shifters seem to be able to survive in small numbers though Tieflings have been known to also make it; as an example the average caravan between Celusia and Carleon has an escort of 2 companies (approx 200 soldiers) with close to 30 wagons in the van.  That is not to say that you could not be "camping out" in one of the major killing fields of one of the cities, but being outside the walls with less than 50 people is considered deadly by most.

I look forward to speaking further with you.

Edit

OK - so I may have jumped the gun on the Bahamut thing, though he would still be an aspect of Anthor.

Lets start up an IC thread somewhere Stormcrow and see if we can't get some more folks interested in Post Moonfall
