Well, i've the urge to do something creative. Time a question on my end I thought "Hey Alex, why don't we (yes we... don't judge us) do something creative that can be played by posts?" Scratching the ragged whiskers on my chiny-chin-chin I responded "Ya know you're right. Could be fun."

So there it is, in short form. Long form being a non-cannonical adaption of thard. I'll "run" (I use the term loosely Wink ) it, you play in it. Seeing as we're the only ones left I figure we can do whatever the hell we want with the place. Rules there be following:

We will use a world loosely based on Thard (so you know what kind of stuff to run with): Magic poor, war-battered, thardferrian racial tensions & political system.

Loosely based on thard being an important part of that - go crazy with your character. Want an orcan mage/ranger/druid? Go for it. Want him to have straight 18's on his stats, sure. Or if you want to roll them yourself thats fine, or if you just want to assign what you like thats good too. What? He has a +5 sword... why the hell not. Only stipulation total XP is 150,000 or less.

I'll expect three posts per week minimum and will do my damnedest to follow said rule. That being said; stuff happens.

Combat: Finishing off a quest almost always involves combat, but combat is a play by post killer. Takes to long and can't be done efficiently. To allow there to be a sense of accomplishment the typical round by round style will be circumvented. I've an idea and ill put up the details for it if this even gets off the ground.

Send me a character sheet with stats, WPs & NWPs, descrip, history and non-typical gear. Requirement: history has something that shows the character has had an adventure or two under their belt. Bonuses for traumatizing events to play off of. Plus a quick snippet of goals/desires and fears.

If you're game then send me the sheet and start a post (hopefully under a new play by post board that one of the lovely admins could create for us) where you would like for your character to start off at. Sleeping? Bathing? Practicing sword play? Spelunking? Doing a common every day chore? Whatever, we'll roll with it and work on it until anyone/everyone interested meets up and we can all use a common thread then.

This isn't official, it's not on the Thard books... it's something to do in your free time for fun. So kick your shoes off, let your hair down and lounge around with your pants off. Let's get some creativity out and have some fun.

2nd or first are still the only ones I know, but with combat/abilties being whats different and seeing as i won't be doing combat the traditional way i reckon any and or all of em should work.

2nd sounds good but do you mind if I don't create another character and use an existing one?

More'n one, less than a million Wink. Heh no really somewhere between 3 and 5 would prolly be ideal (bah, durn post button) but if i get more'n that im not gonna turn anyone away, story lines/posts may just be less intensive on my end.

Excellent, can I use Agneus, or should I make up a new character? If so which level? Probably won't be able to start reliably posting until a week from now. If that's cool, I'm keen.

Which ever you want, like i said before this isn't canonical and anything that happens to any PC will not be able to be transferred over to an existing game. This is purely for fun so do it when ya can. If ya can't make the 3 posts a week thats fine too, i just didn't want to get a slew of people who are only going to post once every three months :-p.

Well, got decent internet now. I might just use Agneus, if that's cool. He was last seen suffering a couple of severe afflictions...so, guess those will play a part.  Grin Let me know when you want me to jump in. Smiley
