The troll is finally slain, beheaded and set on fire by Joe. Agneus receives a little healing from Lilac.

The Troll begins to burn and it's not long before the smell of burning flesh becomes overwhelming. The room you are in has only one set of doors, the ones you came through to begin with. The pile of rags that were once the Troll's bed has a couple of shiny objects, one golden goblet and one silver candelabra. There are many bones in amongst the rags and the odd bit of rotting meat.

Lilac

There is nothing worse than the smell of burning flesh I think, I thought to myself as I looked at the Troll in disgust.

"Does anyone have any wounds that need tending right now or can we get out of here?" I asked, desperately hoping the answer would be the latter.

Diana:

Looks slightly uncomfortable as her transformation completes itself. "I'll be fine, but I think Paks and our glorious leader needs attention."  she says,   being sarcastic about the glorious leader part.

She examines the remains of the troll,  "Praxxin shares his gifts with many people.  They don't all have to be animals or people."

Rubbing her cuts and bruises, she goes and gathers her javelin.

Joe:

*Looks over at the burning troll and the frowns. Taking his swords he wedges them against a loose stone and the floor forcing what remains of the burning rags off the blades. Lifting them up he shakes his head slightly look at them before sheathing his swords.* "At least they weren't ruined." *Walking over to paks he places his hand on the small of her back and leans over.* "Looked like he caught you a few times, you aren't hurt too badly i hope."

Paks

Having sheathed her swords, the ranger inspects her wounds, binding the worst. Smiling at Joe, "Aye, apparently he had it in for me. I have no idea why, it's not like I hit him that often" she says with a shrug. "Anyway, Lilac should be able to fix me up, I guess I'll have a couple of extra scars to show for it though" she says, looking down her her wounded leg.

"So, nice idea with the flamed swords, I'll have to remember that one for if I ever meet a Troll. Though hopefully, that will never happen. Did you need Lilac to look you over?" she asks as she grabs hold of her staff and uses it to lean against, taking the weight off her leg.

Chari scurries away from the burning troll, having already retrieved her daggers. The girl tries wiping them on one of the rags towards the back of the room but can't seem to get the stink off. "Oh well, guess I'll have to use them until I can get new ones...."

She grabs the golden goblet from the pile and slides it into a pouch before meandering back over to Lilac. She puts her hand up and covers her face with the one good sleeve she has, "So we are going to leave soon right? This thing is starting to make me sick." She looks over at Paks, Joe, and Reioko, figuring one of them would lead them out.

Joe:

*Slides over to the staff paks is holding and slides under her arm, helping support her instead of making her doing on her own with the walking stick. Casting a glance back towards the bed.* "Some one ought to round up those bits of shiny. Remember theres still those skeletons outside the door, though hopefully they will be nothing now that the troll is down. You never know though." *Taking a moment he shakes his head.* "Nay the troll nary but scratched me." *Helping paks over to lilac.* "Think she could use some looking over."

Diana:

After gathering her equipment she starts mumbling and chanting,   her hand glowing slight then sets her hand on her own wounds.  Trying to stop it from permenatly  injuring her.

Casting Cure light wounds.

She sighs,  feeling the pain lessen, she goes over to paks and starts chanting again,  and places her hand on Pak's wounds.

Paks

Accepting Joe's help, the ranger shifted a little of her weight onto his shoulders. "Well if those Skeleton's are still alive and kicking so to speak, Xxian ought to be able to take care of the majority of them for us" she says, looking around to see where the gnome had gotten to.

Her attention returns as Diana uses a healing spell to help dull the pain. "That's a bit better thanks" she says to the winged woman, "Though it looks like you should have saved that spell for yourself" the ranger adds, looking at the nasty scratches the troll had left on the woman.

"Anyway, I guess we make a move. At the rate it's going to take me to get back to the beach, it'll be next week before we can get to treasure."

Lilac

I headed over to Paks and inspected her wounds. Diana had lessened the bleeding so my job wasn't to be too hard. Laying my hand upon Paks' wounds, I concentrated on the task, feeling the energy flowing from my body into hers. Looking at the wounds again, I felt satisfied with my efforts as all that was left of the nasty wounds was a small faint scar.

Moving on, I took the same care with Ebony's wound (healed for 12 hp's) and then Reioko's (healed for 15 hp's). I took a look at Diana's cuts and fixed her up at the same time (healed 10 hp's).

With a quick glance at the remaining wounds, I decided they could wait for a more appropriate time and I went to see what Chari was up to.

Completely unscathed by the fight and with all of her daggers and the golden goblet safely in tow, the girl moves over to Lilac with a wide grin on her face. "Adventures like this can be so much fun, much better than just sitting around some beach like that silly paladin."

She looks around at all the healing going and smiles about something but doesn't vocalize what that might be. She turns back to Lilac, "Yeah, we should have Xxian and our 'Fearless Leader'," she nods her head to indicate Agneus, "lead the way out through the skeletons."

Xxian shimmeys along the wall, feeling for any kind of hidden door or switch, completely ignoring the minor wounds he got in battle.

"Trolls normally guard things they do, yeees, not just shiny cup and candle holder, nooo, more like big treasure troll be hiding he might, yees, must be here, it must it must yees!" the gnome prattles on as he continues his way around the room.

Surprisingly, the gnome manages to discover a hidden lever that triggers a sliding door in the wall behind the Troll's bed. It opens soundlessly to reveal a very dark passage. Because of the darkness, it's very hard to tell how long the passage is, even those in the party with better eye sight would not be able to determine the end of the passage.

Paks

"Well, I guess thats a better option than the way we came in" she says with a shrug. "Perhaps you better lead the way Xxian, so that you get to see the treasure first and all" she says with an innocent smile.

Agneus seems to have eyes for one thing in the room at the moment, and she has a lovely pair of wings. He is for once quiet and does little for the moment but follow Diana as closely as she will let him.

Joe:

*Makes his way over to the darkness, arm still around paks whether her wounds be healed or not. Looking over at the tunnel he shrugs for a moment then nods in agreement with paks.* "Aye, better out this way than the toher. Maybe we'll get lucky and there won't be anything clamorig around wanting to kill us back there."

Xxian jumps back with surprise, wielding his morningstar just in case some unexpected visitors pop out of the tunnel.

Hearing Paks urge him on, he shrugs his shoulders and proceeds slowly down the passage, straining his eyes to see as far as he can as he goes, but also taking enough time to examine the walls of the passage for further switches, panels or traps.

Chari walks silently up behind Lilac and then suddenly throws an arm around the girl, giving her a quick squeeze and a cheerful "Hello!" She continues smiling widely at the girl as she moves over to the new doorway, keeping her arm around Lilac and half pulling her along, "We don't want to get left behind, nope, not with all those nasty skeletons back there!"
