Stalking barefoot and silent outside of the hermit's home, the human called Jereth keeps his distance but peers intently within as the structures openings permit. The hulking giant moves with a predator's caution, the exposure to reality bending magics having torn away what little grasp of humanity he'd been forced to foster since his first encounter with the Goddess. Yet even though propelled back into the feral state of mind that had ruled the majority of his young life he had followed the group. Paks' animal kinship had coaxed a modicum of trust where spoken word had failed, and the familarity with the others had kept his more bestial traits suppressed, though he still kept his distance and watched every move with the calculated eye of a predator.

Still he had remainded outside, no amount of trust for the hermit they'd stumbled across forthcoming. Bereft of his equipment, aye even his clothing besides the deerskin pants, he still cuts a daunting profile in the fading light, the other beasts in the area giving him his due space. And yet even wary as he is, the majority of the man's attention is on the proceedings within the structure his human curiousity struggling to dominate his primal instincts.

Having been left outside also, though not for lack of trying to get through the door, Clyde had been grazing on the grass surrounding the hermits home. Noticing that the giant human he'd found days earlier in forest, the chestnut horse trots over to the man, stopping just behind him and playfully nudging him.

Katherina is still uncertain with this new person and his friendliness,  offering the group a good meal and a shelter.  She does refuse the food and goes over her memory of outside of a good place to rest.  Having been sort of a hermit herself before she ran into the group she can understand that sometimes hermits are hermits for a reason.  "I would be careful sir,  there was a family of boars not far from here that charged us.  Luckily we were able to control ourselves and get past them without fighting."  She says to the hermit.  "Don't think some of us would be willing to fight to with the extra young adventurers we have with us."

Jereth notices the horse move over, slightly suprised as he'd mostly seen people tying them up to trees or what not, like they didn't trust their own horses. By the playful nature of the bump, the man relaxes, feeling that he has more in common with the beast, always trudging along where the over-talkative peoples lead with little to no understanding nor caring as to why. He turns back to the hermits abode, speaking quietly to the horse, "Peoples crazy. Look for danger stay with stranger, always look for shortlings. Make no sense when battle man disappear, they no care. Why? No reason for disappear, but no worry, me wonder when me disappear!" He quiets, staring thru the deepening shadows at the barely visible scene inside the shack. Then he shakes his head, "They too crazy to make it safe. Me gonna have to take charge, find shortlings them problem, me watch for bad ones."

He pats the horse on the neck, watching and listening, on guard in the shadows.
