(This thread is for members of Feff & Paks Saturday morning group)

As the sunrises and camp becomes lighter still, the sounds of the forest filtering through the trees to reach the party of adventurers.

As Cray continues to get some answers from Xxian in regards to the so called spiders, Paks sits close by Katherina and watches the two faerie dragons torment the gnome by pelting coins at him.

Stork looks as thoughtful as he can as Diagotsu suggests he tell the others his knowledge on the strange things and Halflings that can be found in the forest. His mind wonders quickly though as he sees the dragons for the first time. He tugs on the young Blademasters arm and points to the flying creatures, "what are they?"

Xxian swats at the dragons like they are flies, hissing at them and making sudden waving actions at them in an attempt to scare them away.

As he didn't really have time to tend to his wounds between the pesky little dragons attacks, he resorted to simply licking and sucking on them, inspecting them when the oportunity presented itself.

"Xxian hungry he is, yees, veeery hungry, think Xxian like baked dragon for breakfast, mmmm, anybody know where Xxian might find tasty little dragon to eat?" he taunts, using his quaterstaff to try and knock one of the pests out of the sky.

Myrina:

*Shows back up to the camp her breathing quite rapid and some sweating having taken place. She glances around the camp with a frown.* "Sounds like i missed something, no one seems to much worse for the wear though. That is a relief."

It had been a long chase, somewhere along the way the elf had disappeared into the trees like her kind is wont to do, and still he had chased on, certain he could corner the wounded doe. After the moonlight had faded from the boughs and the trail had become impossible to follow, the warrior had simply turned and walked back in the direction he last remembered the camp, still he was suprised that it was sunrise when he finally found the city-dwellers.

Watching the others as the dew sparkled with dawn's light, Jereth shakes his head, of course the curs would find sport when he wasn't around, seeing that most the party appeared to have had some sort of action since he and the elf had gone off. A sudden notion comes unbidden from the recesses of his primitive mind, images of blood and gore spattered around the campsite with him standing in savage glory.....

Shaking his head and stepping boldly into the clearing of the camp, he silently ponders grisly thoughts, was there a connection with the dreams?

"Find food?"

The two dragons glance at each other and grin, using their silent language as a means of communication, they suddenly look back to the gnome and bombard him with showers of water, before bursting into fits of uncontrollable giggles. Their laughter is so hard that they continually wink in and out of visiblness.

Paks looks up as Myrina enters the camp and she offers the elf a friendly wave. Coming behind her is the warrior Jereth and with the second mention of food in as many minutes, the Ranger notices her stomach growl.

"Food would be nice, but sadly we didn't find any, apart from the biscuit and acorns that Xxian managed to find from the deadmans pockets and I certainly won't be eating those"

A long silence follows as the giant looks between the human ranger and the demented gnome but finally he says, "What dead man?"

Unfortunately, the short pause, the lack of a transitory statement, and Jereth's own creepiness, added in with the fact his own stomach growls at an inopportune moment, makes it sound as he was wondering were the dead man and food were in the same breath.

The ranger absently points in the direction of the edge of the camp, the bodies of 3 dead men and one further into the trees lying on the forest floor.

"Those ones. Xxian and I came across them after we left the so called rum faries, apparently they weren't happy to see us and put up a chase. It was lucky for us that we came upon you folk to help us out when we did, otherwise, I don't think it would have been pretty" she says, looking at Jereth and Myrina.

"You don't happen to have some food lying around here somewhere by any chance?"

Myrina:

*Looks over at the dead bodies for a moment and nods slowly to herself, from the looks no one had to invoke any of their arcane abilities (i assume). So they must not have been too much trouble. Slowly she walks over to her pack that she had placed on the ground earlier and rummages through for a few moments and holds out some dried jerky-esque meat and some hard bread.* "All i packed for the trip."

The gnome shakes the water off of himself and wrings out his shirt where he can without removing it.  A sly smile upon his face in place of the upset one that you would expect to see after recent events.

"go look for food we could, sure to be furry critter of some kind near here, just ot to catch it we do, yees"

The gnome loks around at the sombre campsite then turns to Jereth:

"know how to hunt?  You and Xxian catch food for hungry camp, yes?" he says, taking another swat at the dragons with his quaterstaff.

Watches the going ons with a slight smile, specially when the dragons are up to their tricks.  She pushes her self up off the ground from her eat and staggers a bit as she loses her balance for a moment. " ...to fast."  she mumbles to herself.

"Well, I suppose me or Miss Paks can try and find something out there in the wilderness,  I can't make any promises it would be anything good.  I only have my trail rations left."  She says as the others mention food.

Looking over at Katherina as she mentions the idea of hunting, the Ranger smiles, "Normally I'd love to but I'm exhausted, I'd prefer to stay put if you don't mind. Jereth likes hunting though, perhaps he could go with you?"

A slow fanged grin spreads across the young giant's face as he looks from the deranged gnome to the slightly staggering elven ranger, the elf would make excellent bait while the gnome should prove to be an effective missle. Chuckling to himself he pulls the warhammer from his belt and with a spinning toss easily catches it,

"Set traps for small prey near here," he says to those staying behind, to Katherina and Xxian, "big prey run far from sound of battle, be ready long walk." He was looking forward to seeing how these two would hunt.

Stepping into the midday shadows of the forest, Jereth moves with a certainty of one who'd hunted as a daily matter of survival, he didn't look over his shoulder to see if others followed, if he or they wanted to eat this day they would have to have the confidence of a predator and the caution of potential starvation. Others might look upon his serious demenor as laughable, but he'd never taken a meal for granted as soft city bred men often do, for him every day was a struggle between the forces of life and death, with only those with iron will and cunning living to see the next sunrise. After only a few hundred yards he finds the trail of a fleeing animal, fresh from the still green breaks in branches....
