Acumen - Mage of the IMA

Description:

Acumen is a well developed young man. His curly chestnut hair drapes down to his shoulders in a manner which one would think impossible until seen on him. The waves of each group of hair crisscross and interwine into a grand display of both chaos and order. Though he is fair of skin, his facial features are of a knight sent before a queen. He wears a blood red robe with odd shapes embroidered in silver along the edges. Walking with the stride of a king and the aire of nobility he shows not only purpose but duty to his station. His eyes of Icy blue move with determination and seem as if they could penetrate into the most hardened of secrects in any woman or man.

He walks with a wooden stave in his left hand. Upon better inspection of the stave you notice that serpents entwined and circling the stave are chasing rodents to the top where three hands hold a polished marble figurine of the god Aranthis. He wears a weathered backpack, the pots firmly tied down to the bedroll, and a ornately hilted shortsword on his left hip in the shape of a eagles claw grasping a rodent. Several other pouches surround his waist giving off a faint smell of herbs and spices.

Some Bio:

Acumen's Parents were both slain in the war against the sythians. They were nobles from the Northwestern part of Tuth and had sent acumen to a distant relative in south eastern Tuth at the wars begining. While in the care of his aunt and uncle, his gift started to reveal itself. They, both being magic sympathizers and thinking it was a burden, looked after acumen until one of the IMG mages was able to relieve them of the duty. Acumen left with this mentor and was taken to a schooling ground. While the war raged on, those that the armies of the confederation could spare, taught Acumen and a number of other boys how to use their gift.

Acumen eventually found out about his parent's death at the hands of the sythians and made a personal vow to cut the roots of the vile deeds of the sythians. Further along in his training he recieved word that several of the boys from the school had gone rogue. He knew that the boys were eventually caught but did not know what happened to them. It was then that his father's gift of curiosity burned into his soul. He started to seek out information when he could about what had happened to these boys, he knew the law and knew they most likely had commited offenses. But he also knew that this happened during the war and that most of the IMG was out fighting on the lines. Who could have caught these boys and stopped them. It wasn't until just before his graduation that he caught sent of his long sought after question. He found out there was a secret order of battle mages called the IMI, and that they were charged with reigning in loose cannons, so to speak, and cut down evil at the roots before it could corrupt the beautiful string of vines which is life. He made his second vow on his graduation day, he would become an agent of the IMI and help route evil where ever it lay.
