Below is the list from my 3.5 DMG for Prestige Classes.  I've listed if I thought the class was viable or not in the thardferr setting.  Ill post the information up on all the ones i've never dealt with or put pending for.

Arcane Archer - Viable - Elf or Half Elf Only

Archmage - Viable - Must be able to cast 7th lvl spells - This is a difficult one to take as a player. Let that be known now. Wink

Dulist - Viable
Dwarven Defender - very viable
Hierophant - viable - The clerical version of the archmage for the most part.
Loremaster - Viable
Mystic Theurge - Viable

Horizon Walker

Requirments
Skills : Knowledge ( geography ) 8 ranks
Feats : Endurance

Class Skills ( Skill points at each level 4 + Int Modifier )

Balance(dex) - Climb(str) - Diplomacy(cha) - Handle Animal(Cha) - Hide(dex) - Knowledge(geography)(int) - Listen(wis) - Move Silently(dex) - Profession(wis) - Ride(dex) - Speak Language(none) - Spot(wis) - Survival(wis)

Class Features

*Horizon Walkers gain no proficiency with any weapon or armor

Terrain Master: As horizon walkers travel, they gain a mystical connection with the very ground they walk on.  At each level, they add a new terrain enviornment to their repetoire from those given below.  Terrain mastery gives a horizon walker a bonus on checks involving a skill usefull in that terrain, or some other appropriate benefit.

A horizon walker also knows how to fight dangerous creatures typically found in that terrain, gaining a +1 insight bonus on att rolls and dmg rolls against creaytures with that terrain mentioned in the enviornment entry of ther description.  This is only given if the entry specifically states that terrain type.

Horizon walkers take their terrain mastery with them wherever they go.  They retain their terrain mastery bonus on skill checks, att rolls, and dmg rolls whether they're actually in the relvant terrain or not.  For example, a horizon walker who has selected desert terrtain mastery is immune to fatgue even if she's underground, in the mountains, or in a city.

Planar Terrain Master: Eventually a horizon walker's familiarity with terrain extends to her journeys to other planes of existence.  Planar terrain mastery functions just like terrain master, except that the horizon walker can choose on of the planar catagories at each level.  The horizon walker can take a non planer terrain type instead, if he/she wishes.

If more info is needed Ill post the indivual planar and non planer mastery benefits.

I don't see the last two being very Thardferr fitting. Anything dealing twith contact with or travel to other planes should not be allowed. The non planar part of the horizon walker doesn't fit any of Thardferr's flavor to me.

The Sythians have a long history of dealing with dragons, so may be able to have the dragon disciple prestige class. Special trained Tuhtian knights also had dragon rider status so this may work intot he class as well I['n not sure. It may need a special background and perhaps perk to open it to a player or need a DM to play it out in game  to be able to become one.

Loremaster - Viable
Mystic Theurge - Viable
Shadow Dancer - Viable

These all sound like mage connected  classes to one of the gods. The specifics of the class would tell, I'm not aware of them. It may be that they need a further requisite of believing in a certain god and maybe having religoin at a certain level for Thardferr.

Again not knowing the specifics, this is thinking out loud.

Ya I was not very familiar with either of the last two, thus why once I had gotten that far I stopped figuring they were neither viable in our setting.

I will continue with the information shortly after the rockets game. Wink

Loremaster

Loremasters are spellcasters who concentrate on knowledge, valuing lore and secrets over gold.  They uncover secrets that they then use to better themselves mentally, physically, and spiritually.

Characters without atleast one level of wizard, sorcerer, cleric, or druid gain little benefit from becoming a loremaster.  Paladins, rangers, and bards might gain some benefit, but overall, it would be minor.

Loremasters sometimes gather in secluded cabals but are more often found as members of an order attached to a university a library, or some other source of information.   They,re likely to earn extra money as sages and information brokers, pouring their wages into their own research.  A loremaster might also adopt a position as a wise one in a community, or even as its leader, drawing upon her knowledge to help others.

Hit Die: d4

Requirements

skills: Knowledge (any two) 10 ranks in each
feats: Any three metamagic or item creation feats, plusskill focus (knowledge [any individual knowledge skill]).

Class Skills

Appraise(int) - Concentration(con) - Craft(alchemy)(int) - decipher script(int) - gather information(cha) - handle animals(cha) - heal(wis) - knowledge (all skills taken indivually)(int) - perform(cha) - Profession(wis) - speak language - spellcraft(int) - use magic device(cha)

Skill points at each level: 4 + Int modifier

Class Features

Spells per day / spells known: A loremaster continues training in magic as well as her field of research.  Thus, when a new loremaster level is gained, the character gains new spells per day (and spells known if applicable) as if she had also gained a level in a spellcasting class she belonged to before she added the prestige class.  She does not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained (improved chance of controling or rebuking undead, metamagic or item creation feats, and so on).  This essentially means that she adds the level of loremaster to the level of some other spellcasting class the character has, then determines spells per day, spells known, and caster level accordingly.

Secret: In their studies, loremasters stumble upon all sorts of applicable knowledge and secrets.  At 1st level and every two levels higher than 1st (3-5-7-9), the loremaster choosed one secret from the table below.  Her level plus int modifier determines the total number of secrets she can choose.  She can't choose the same secret twice.

Lore: Loremasters gather knowledge.  At 2nd level, a loremaster gains the ability to know legends or information regarding various topics, just as a bard can with bardic knowledge.  The loremaster adds her level and her int modifier to the lore check.

Loremaster Secrets

1 - instant mastery - 4 ranks of a skill in which character has no ranks
2 - secret health - +3 hit points
3 - secrets of inner strength - +2 to will save
4 - the lore of true stamina - +2 to fort save
5 - secret knowledge of avoidance - +2 to reflex save
6 - weapon trick - +1 bonus on attack rolls
7 -  dodge trick - +1 dodge bonus to ac
8 - applicable knowledge - any one feat
9 - newfound arcana - bonus 1st level spell*
10 - more newfound arcana - bonus 2nd level spell*

*only gained if having a high enough ability score

Bonus language: Loremasters, in their laborious studies, learn new languages in order to access more knowledge.  A loremaster can choose any new language at 4th and 8th level.

Greater lore(Ex): At 6th level, a loremaster gains the ability to understand magic items, as with the identify spell

True Lore(Ex): At 10th level, once per day a loremaster can use her knowledge to gain the effect of a legend lore spell or an analyze dweomer spell.

Mystic Theurge

Bluring the line between divine and arcane, mystic theurges draw power from divine sources and musty tomes alike.  While most spellcasters choose one path to magical power, mystic theurges walk two roads at once, simultaneously mastering spells common to clerics and wizards.

Mystic theurges have unparalledled diversity of spells.  In time, a mystic theurge can cast almost any spell in the phb.  While a mystic theurge doesn't have the uninterupted spell advancement that a cleric, wizardd, or sorcerer has, he makes up for this with versatility.  Mystic theurges are often obsessed with magical lore, traveling to the ends of the earth to learn some new arcane secret or divine insight.

Because a mystic theurge casts both arcan and divine spells, all members of this class are multiclass spellcasters.  Cleric/sorcerers and cleric wizards are the most common mystic theurges, with druid/sorcerers more rare and druid/wizards almost unheard of.

Mystic theurges tend to be fascinated with magic in whatever form it takes.  They're always on the hunt for powerful magic items and new arcane spells.  Those mystic theurges who worship a deity use the power of their spellcasting to further their deity's agenda

Hit Die: d4

Requirements

skills: Knowledge (arcana) 6 ranks, knowledge(religion) 6 ranks
spells: able to cast 2nd level divine and 2nd level arcane spells

Class Skills
Concentration(con) - craft(int) - decipher script(int) - knowledge(arcana)(int), knowledge(religion)(int) - professions(wis) - sense motive(wis) and spellcraft(int)

Skill points at each level: 2+int modifier

Class Feats

spells per day when a new mystic theurge level is gained, the character gains new spells per day as if he had also gained a level in any one arcane spellcasting class he belonged to before he added the prestige class and any one divine spellcasting class he belonged to previously.  he does not, however, gain any other benefits a character of that class would have gained (bonuse metamagic or item creation feats, bard or assassin abilities, and so on).  This essentially means that he adds the level of mystic theurge to the level of whatever other arcane and divine spellcasting class the character has, then determine spells per day and caster level accordingly.

For example, a 3rd level cleric/3rd level wizard who takes a level in mystic theurge has the same access to spells as a 4th level cleric and a 4th lvl wizard.  But he continues to turn undead as a 3rd level cleric and his wizard familiar won't gain any new abilities.

If a character had more than one arcane spellcasting class or more than one divine spellcasting class before he became a mystic theurge, he must decide to which class he adds each level of mystic theurge for the purpose of determining spells per day.
