Looking for game / group - Aus player

Will do IC stuff later but thought it was worth putting up my time details here to find out if there are even any games playing that I can get to.

Older player - about 15-20 years of table top playing I guess - moved from UK to Australia recently, and living in a RGP vacuum at the moment.

Have a few times that are free to play.

Monday day           9am - 5pm
Wednesday day     9am - 2pm
Friday day             9am - 2pm
Sunday eve           6pm – late

All times are Brisbane / Sydney / Eastern Aus time zone
To try and convert to GMT is nasty as I think there is a 9hour difference at the moment (Summer) but here is a rough estimate.

Monday              midnight – 8am
Wednesday        midnight – 5am
Friday                 midnight – 5am
Sunday               9am -  4pm

Start times are more flexible than end times – due to work / exhaustion.

Teamspeak is all good – and have played a little on ORPG already and find it pretty comfortable to use, have to admit that the complexities of nodes is leaving me cold atm.

Love to play almost all classes – can always find something interesting to work with.
Like the role rather than the roll – but am not particularly flamboyant and overly flowery with my typed role play, unless it a particular character that requires that sort of thing.
Having a little trouble getting my hands on 2nd Ed PHB & source books, had to leave all my books back in the UK - so any help on that would be good also - open source?

Let me know if there is a game running in any of the times I can play that’s recruiting – or if there is a game worth waiting for that has a likely space for the near future.

Any advice on next step to getting into a game is welcome.

Hey, welcome . I don't really know when all the DMs are playing, i know that theres a group on tuesday night and saturday morning (US time), dunno if either are full/looking for players or what not. But to avoid this from getting to being an overly long post seeing as i dont really know that much and i wanted to do was say howdy, ill shut up now .

Thanks for the welcome Zee - just in hope that there is a game out there that has an opening.

As much for me as anyone else I've just worked out when my US Eastern times are:-

14 hours back so that makes my 8am starts times work out at 6pm EST and the rest follow pretty easy - so, an US DM's out there, I'm good to go for weekday evening start up times.

that is actually really good for availability Talst...

you just need a DM who DMs on monday wednesday or friday..

most games tend to start around 8 or 9pm EST, and end at 11-1am or so... so that is well within your time constraints...

I know that Feff's game is on Tuesdays, so likely out,

maybe Kluu or Paks or another has one on MWF...

not sure tho..

Glad that you think it will work out - just to clear times up.

Because I'm 14 hours ahead of EST - my early morning on Wednesday is EST's early evening on Tuesday.

So good days for EST games would be Sunday PM, Tuesday PM, Thursday PM and Saturday PM.

It's all a bit like time travelling and is hurting my brain a little, but I think that's right. Will take a look at Feff's tickets and see if he has any spaces.

I DM a game on Friday nights at 8.30pm EST Aussie time which is mostly made up of Aussies players. We could do with another player or so, if you're interested give me a yell and I can give you some more details.
