Rumor's of Vampire

(From the Mind of Night Blade)
oO Outside the Lesied Forest near the boarder of Aldred in the haven of Forge Manor I have arrived. Overhearing the rumor of a vampire I've ventured from the fabled city of Coopersville Forge in search of fame and fortune, and what better way than to dispatch a powerful and evil creature such as a vampire, I can think of no other. There are several establishments that I could set up headquarters at .... (thoughts fall back to the creature it's self) Wood Shore and Ferries South ... the vile creature has struck in several places along the forest's edge ... (looking up I see a sign) *The Rusty Ax* ahhh good Smorg may still be working the bar here. As I open the door I can smell the fish grilling from the kitchen, a hot meal would be good me thinks .... I see the ugly little creature behind the bar and nod my head as I walk over.

"Elf"
"Gnome" eyeing the little freak
"I really dont' know why I tolerate your kind in these parts Smorg"
"we've been through this before elf"
"Several times, I recall yes. What is the word you hear on this .. Vampire" leaning close to finish the sentence.

Smorg looks around and strolls to the far end of the bar
"Have a seat elf, wine or did you finally get a stomach?"

As I eye Smorg with his sarcastic remark I can recall him being a legitimate source of information to me, our relationship is odd indeed, but he has earned my trust and can't help but grin as I reply.

"Wine it is Smorg, so out with it"

Pouring the wine Smorg turns to Night

"Well Night, several small towns have been hit with similar .. bites (grinning) .. it will take more than the likes of you to be rid of this beast"

Raising my eyebrow "do tell gnome, did it strike down a recognized figure?"

Smorg begins to clean some glasses "well, rumor has it of course that this one took down a few mercernaries as well as a guard or two, so as you can see (laughing sarcastically) it can handle more than you can."

Sitting here sipping at my wine I pull out my parchment and pen.
Stepping outside I post my finished works.
