*Leia looks at the boy she threatened with being put into a coma. She kneels down in front of him, his dagger still in her hand. She tilts her head slightly to get a better view of his face. She then fires a series of sharp questions at him.*

"Why are you running around at night? Why were you coming here with daggers drawn? Where are your families? Where were you running to?!"

*Her voice snaps through the air with rat-a-tat pattern. She carefully watches the boy for any reaction.*

The boy glares angrily at the woman. "I'm not going to tell you nothing! You might as well kill us now."

*Leia shakes her head at the boy's remark, a smile sliding across her lips.*

"Always acting tough. But killing you would be to easy, plus you are too young to die. I could be mean and pull your finger out of joint and then have the cleric reset it. That hurts something terrible. But what hurts more is pulling it out and leaving it that way."

*She glances at the boys's feet and then back to his face.*

"But I hear toes are worse if you do that same thing to them. But....none of this will happen if you answer the questions. Being tough will get you nowhere and should we release you for being stubborn.....well I hope you can run. But I am going to give you a chance to redeem yourself and make that halfling over there and your friend proud. Simply answer the questions and we will give you some food, water, and a few coins to buy more food. Sound fair?"

The golden haired lad simply shakes his head at the onslaught of questions.

"Well good with weapons but useless when it comes to getting information. Figures... suppose you can't get a well rounded package of anything these days. I mean seriously, who threatens a kid? That's just sort of pathetic and bullyish. Then again, you are the bully type, so it figures you would do something so callow and paltry. Don't let me stop you from hurting children though! *Gregors puts his hands in front of him and spread them outward into a shrug* I would so hate after all for you to have to start bullying me because you couldn't even get information out of a kid without havign to threaten or even break a limb. So sad..."

Gregors' face shows nothing but disgust at how the woman, definately not a lady and possibly not even a woman, is dealing with the children. Heading over to the knocked the knocked out halfling, he takes the boy in his arms left arm and rests his head on his thigh as he tries to gently slap the boy awake before sprinkling a bit of water on his face.

"I am sure he will have a headache when he wakes ups. Probably try to attack me as well and wonder what the hell is going on... I'm just glad we can actually kill the gnoll and don't have to talk to them because the majority of the group is obviously lacking in the tact department."

As Gregors finishes his cool chastising of Leia's interrogation techniques an arrow thuds into the wall of the barn near where the conscious Halfling is sitting.

"As my companion said, he might disagree but he will not stop her." motioning toward Leia.  "And I have NO love for those who would ambush me in the night, children or no.  Now I suggest you take the lady's offer while it still stands."

Lithor's deformed face looks menacingly at the Halfling boy, and his gruesome features hold no sign of anything but sincerity.  A hint of angry madness can be seen in his eyes.

"Would you all just settle down before I get real Angry!   Sheesh !!  Leia, this is a boy.   A small lad who has probably been without food since the latest invasion.   Then we hear of gnolls.   He is hungry.   Give him food not threats.   ~Tergius gives the lad some trail rations~   Now my fine lad,  I was once just like you.   Young strong, carefree and more bravado than I should have.   Wait I'm still that way.   Anyway,   We don't really want to hurt you that much.   But we don't like the idea of you sneaking up on us in the dark either.   Especially with drawn knives.   We aren't out to attack your homes.   If you need some help let me know and I can get you some.   Chance has dealt you a bad hand so far.   Now it is time for your luck to change.    We do need those questions the lady asked you answered and I might have a few more to add when you are done.   Elenar blesses those that take risks.   This is your time."

The boy seems to be trying to hide his fear but in his eyes you can see it clearly. At the comforting words of Tergius he nods slowly, "We weren't looking for trouble. We were just looking for a place to stay. Me and my brother have been hiding in the wilds since the gnolls burnt down our farm a week ago. We didn't know anyone was here until we got close enough and could hear some snoring. We weren't going to kill in the night, honest. We only had to make sure you were more of them gnolls."

Lithor looks doubtfully at the halfling boy.  His eyes scan across the knife and  he once again looks angrily at the halfling, but when his eyes meet Tergius' his head falls.  He lowers his bow and seems to have calmed a little.  As the group continues to interogate the boy Lithor moves back to his bed roll and sits thinking.

"There now.     You see no one want to hurt you.  Your friend will be fine, so don't worry about that.   What is  you and your friend's name?  You said gnolls attacked your farm,   are your parents hiding with you?    How far away is your farm from here?   Has anyone been sent to the capital to tell this to the Defenders there?   The crops here look very well maintained.    Is this your farm?   I'm sure you can stay the night with us.   Just don't try anything while you are here.    When I get done with my mission I want to come back here and check on you to see how you are doing."

*Leia, seeing the boy starting to cooperate, sticks his dagger blade first into the ground in front of him. She stands slowly and takes a step back. She gives the boy a half smile.*

"Smart move. You are free to take your dagger, I have no use for it. Do be sure to answer the halfling's questions as they are important."

*Deciding to take the upper floor as a place to rest, she moves close to the open door/window. She sets her pack down and lays against it. She smiles as a thought passes through her mind before she begins to drift back to sleep.*

The boy nods to Tergius, "My name is Edder and his name is Muphrey. We aren't quite sure where our parents are. We all scattered when they laid the torch to the out buildings. Father and mother stayed behind...."
The boy looks like he might get upset but just shakes his head angrily instead. "We're trying to find our way back to them. There was nothing left of our farm or fields. We were on our way to the village when we stopped here."
