OOC:

what?  that is so not what you told me when I asked you what happened.  I have been trying to get back into this and post IC, but the information on what happened in the sessions after the first two has been less than forthcomming, in fact, it goes like this:

Xxian
so, can you tell me what happened to Xxian in the marathon session? physically as well as xp etc!!

Kluu
you did alot of lock picking and trap finding attempts, rarely successfully, you played a few pranks, one where you acted like you had died and then siad gotcha to Rhade when she ranup to help you. You crawled around through the vents and set snares and jammed doors all over to confound and lay the persuers off your tracks while the group rested in a guest room.

The final results are not in yet, the last thing you did was cast endure heat on yourelf and went to fight a fire elemental while protected by pretectoin from evil. But the fight was not finished and is now being played out in theIC boards. You cna go and post there.

When the marathon results are complete we'l let you know what XP you gained. I can give yo uxp based on what you have doe already while playing yourself but you won't get as much as if you complete through IC board posting and taking on your own destiny.

Xxian
thanks, can you give me an overview of where everyone is, as in, am I the only one in the room with the fire elemental? where is everyone else in relation to this fight? How many HP does Xxian currently have and has he aquired or lost any new items, weapons or otherwise?

I want to jump in and start RPing, but am a little lost as to the plot at the moment!

Kluu
Dalan would be better at describing the roomand where abouts of everyone. He was running the joint group sessions.

I know you were with Dinmet, he was skinging to give his protection circle so youwould not be able to be attakced by the fire elemental until you attaed it and then could retreat back to the circle for protection after that on the next round if you wanted. You had endure heat so wouldlikley not be hurt for the first fire elemental attack anyway.

Others were rushing Rithas who was controlled or possessed and was attacking everyone. The IC boarrd gives alot of this info. BUt after reading it if you ahve wuestions ask dalan.

so am I still fighting an elemental or am I laying unconcious and bleeding on the floor, is there a trip ticket available to see exactly wtf is going on? or could someone at least give an overview, as I know that I am not the only one trying to find out what is going on after the 'overtime' sessions before posting IC.

Sorry to disturb the momentum of the thread, but others who are there IC would like to join in too!

Damian, "Sleep spells will not work against elves. Plus, it's possible that any magic cast at him would allow him to revive and possibly be additional trouble. You think it too cruel to beat him? Look at what he did to the others around you. Ask them if they would like to see him awake and able to attack again would you? Regardless, we are wasting time. If we can not treat the injured, leave them here resting with someone to watch over them and let's continue on. I doubt we'll have much reprieve now that our presence is fully noticed."

*Gibreel, who has for the most part stood between the fight and the injured in order to buy them escape time if needed shakes his head, and then takes a heavy sheathed dagger from his side. He leaves the dagger's sheath on and flips it over to its heavy metal handle as if he is going to knock someone out with it.*

"Liriel, if the little Demi-God in your head has a convincing arguement why I should not knock him out she better voice it now. Otherwise, he will live, and I could not care less if people think it is cruel."

*Gibreel heads towards Rithas*

Liriel looks alarmed at Gibreel's words as she quickens her unsteady pace to catch up with him.  Laying a hand on his shoulder to momentarily stop his progress toward the elf, she bends down and whispers something in his ear, her voice so soft that no one else can possibly hear.

Her words are quick and urgent, tumbling rapidly over each other.  "No one is supposed to know what she said, or even that she's talking to me.  She said that *she* couldn't find out.   He will help us if we take him with us, she's fixing why he's fighting us.  But we need him conscious and he needs his protections and I don't know what those are.  I'd guess it's in his clothing and armor."

"I trust her.  I know you don't trust her, but I hope you trust me.  I'm scared to say more and I know the rest won't listen to me.  They will you."  Her face is pale from the poisons still in her system, her eyes pleading as she watches for his reaction.

The Celenian quickly runs to the unconscious Dwarf and Gnome, just after Rithas is brought down, spending the rest of her healing spells to return those greatly hurt by Rithas: Thragnar and Xxian.  Still reeling from the shocking violence of the battle flashing through her mind, she shakes and trembles visibly.  Still, she manages to to complete her task, and heals both of her wards (both now have 18 total HPs).

After making sure they will be okay, she slowly slides to the ground with her back against the wall, her mind again going over the battle...

Just after she realized the thing shooting the arrows at Liriel was an elf who somehow had the power to turn himself invisible at will, a bunch of people dropped out of the ceiling to her east, apparently most of those who were missing from both groups.  As some went to face the elf and the elementals, others met with each other to try to strategize.

It appeared that Magic was not working on the elf, so the mages, besides trying to use their magics to locate the elf when invisible, would fight the elementals.  The fighters, in turn, would face Rithas in combat.  It was during this planning that the human freshly rescued from the dungeons, was brought down in one quick attack by the elf.  She knew immediately that the wound was mortal.  The fall of Orion seemed to bring a sense of urgency to the group, and they rushed to the attack.

At first the attacks on the elf were sporatic, each using their own plan for attack.  After Krystal, the paladin, was seriously wounded in a flurry of attacks by the elf, did she fall back, and try to suggest actions to those still fighting the Elf.  "Bring him down together, use your numbers to overwhelm him!"

All the while that was happening, Robillard, Nyr, Gibreel, and (if you wish to participate in attacking the elemental, please post something to the effect of how you had "just finished your battle" with the elementals in following posts) attempted to take out the fire elemental in a stunning display of magic.

Gul-Shalad, one of the Orc newcomers, also quickly retreated from the Elf's wrath.  This just left Xxian, Grumash, Zee, Thragnar, and Dinmet trying to bring him down.

They continued to press their attacks, but Thragnar was brought down by the massive strength and lightning-fast movements of the Elf.  Mnuxim quickly goes in and drags his comrade out of harms way, as Grumash, Zee, XXian, and Dinmet continue to try to bring the elf down.

Zee was the next to fall to the fellow Elf.  His massive wounds were almost immediately staunched by Tolin, but the damage was done.  There were only three left able to attack the apparent near immortal Elf.

Still Grumash, Dinmet, and Xxian bravely did not give up, knowing that while difficult, they still had a chance to overwhelm the Elf.

The mages, meanwhile, had finally brought down the earth elemental successfully.

Almost as one, Grumash, Dinmet, and Xxian jumped on Rithas, tackling him to the ground, but grimly Rithas had faced them, and it took a second to realize in his noble attempt to bring down the Elf, Xxian had been impaled in the stomach by the Elf's longsword.  In almost the same action, the Elf desperately fought Grumash with his shortsword.  Grumash bit back his wounds, and quickly pinned the Elf with the help of Dinmet.

The priestess closed her eyes, and focused on clearing her mind of the battle, using a simple technique she learned in her days as an acolyte.  Soon the memories of the battle were gone, as she prayed to her Goddess... Imploring her that no more battles be fought on this day.

Gibreel responds to Liriel saying in return in a whisper "She just does not get it does she, it is hard to force people into irrational acts if you don't even tell them why. So smart in some ways, so lost in others. Fine so be it."

*Gibreel shakes his head*

"I will stay back at a midpoint between the injured, and the front group. Close enough to both to enable communication. From there I will watch Rithas. Incase Liriel is correct, bag up all his equiptment and give it to me. I can return something to him if the situation warrants. Jan'doire, I am going to need help in back with the injured. Your not ready to be up front. Damian is right, we can't stand here working this out. When this is over we will either be dead, or together. Plenty of time to work the rest of this out later."

*Gibreel reviews his spells, thinking on the Black Tenticles and Magic Missile spell he used on Elemental, as well as the Web scroll he made use of.*

"Damian I can connect some of us telepathically through the work you exchanged with me, I will add you into it if you wish. Liriel, we should make sure we are connected as well. Nux, if you choose it would be useful to know where you are. I can attach one more beyond that."

Liriel stands up straight again as Gibreel speaks and she breathes a sigh of relief at Gibreel's words to the rest, relaxing only nominally as she watches the others.  Knowing he has made a tremendous concession on her word alone, she gently squeezes his shoulder in a silent 'thank you'.

"I am here and will do what you want.  I still hurt, but I can fight again thanks to the potion you gave me and Tolin's healing."  Turning slightly, she indicates the double doors.  "That is where we go now."

Damian watches with moderate interest as the elemental is brought down. During it's rampage, he was quick to use his powers to shield the wounded, keeping the elemental away from them, yet at the same time, he knows this is not the final battle and he's silently waiting in anticipation of the final battle, one that he has little doubt will be the final battle for most here. Still, keeping to his magics, Damian hovers near the ceiling, keeping the Peace Arch with him and shielded from sight by his magics.

As the situation winds down, he moves over to see to Rithas and sees Gibreel responding to his suggestion, before being stopped by Liriel. o O (Hmm, I wonder what's going on there. Still, it's little matter I suppose, Liriel long since made up her mind for where she wants to be.)

Finally, as Gibreel turns his attention towards Damian's location and speaks, Damian subconsciously starts to drift, knowing the magic will enable him to vanish from the mage's sight again in a few moments, even as he responds. "That spell will only join four total, including yourself. Besides yourself and myself, who else would be brought into this link? At the moment, I'm still debating individual roles in the coming conflict, since it seems the ranks have been thinned quite well."

"Myself, Liriel, Nux, and yourself. You know why we should keep track of Liriel, and I believe Nux is the most likely to be lost track of in the fight--if he wishes to be involved then it might prove useful to be able to contact him. A great deal depends on where people are going to be."

*Gibreel finishes helping organize the injured.*

"Your a better tactitian than I am. I think we need to make clear who's orders are being followed before we go any further. We do not need more confusion like tin this fight, because of the two groups. I will back you if it is your plan to take over our group."

Having seen the magics the others are capable of, he nods at the goblin's words in a quiet acknowledgement.  Jan'doire carefully helps Orion to his feet, holding him steady with one hand and carefully checking his belongings and running through his meager spell trappings as he awaits the next move.

Damian, "For now, let's see whose still standing and willing to proceed. I've allowed myself a more secondary role with the group I found myself with, mostly because I knew few of them. However, it seems everything has changed by us merging into one group for the moment."

"With limited information, my best guess at how to proceed is that we need to break into smaller groups and enter in waves, to throw off any coordinated attacks upon our full group. The role of the initial groups being to clear a space for the rest, and the final ones role will be the final push, much like reinforcements to finally turn the tide of the battle. The initial group will have to be strong defensively, since they will be taking the brunt of our enemies concentrated abilties. This is perhaps where I would serve best, though I still have enough magics upon me that are free of use to add a lot of surprise to our attack."

"As for the amulet, whilst it sits well upon her, it does little good in that position for the coming fight. At least when it's worn by a mage, especially one in the front that mage can bear the brunt of any magical assault and protect the others. The same can not be said of anyone else wearing it. From my experiences, I know that the amulet's malevolence only surfaces when you attempt to cast magics, however, otherwise it serves as a protective device without any malevolent effects."

"Still, we need to know whose capable of continuing on."
He quickly glances around, taking a head count of those standing, or in a kneeling position. Those who are upon their backs, or faces and laying down he doesn't count for what's to come next.

OOC: Can I get a head count and some names please?  I know there's a lot of us, but this is a good time to find out whose capable of continuing.

Robillard shakes his head.

"After those elementals I'm almost completely out of spells.  I can continue on, just know that I've little left to contribute.  At this point my concern if for Lasa.  If she goes onward, I stay by her side.  If she remains, I'll remain"

Robillard crosses his arms over his chest.  Partly to go along with his statement, and partly cause it's just comfortable.

Having expended all of his healing magic, Tolin moves to and fro the wounded, applying his healing knowledge where he can to their wounds. Those nearby can hear him muttering low prayers to Celenia, imploring her to help the many wounded and to provide peace.  He looks over his shoulder momentarily as the others inquire as to who can and will go on.

"I will of course continue.  I have expended all of my healing spells, but perhaps the lady of cure will endow me with additional knowledge to staunch the wounds that are sure to come.  My fear is, however, I will have little to contribute should misfortune befall some.  Perhaps though, with my mancatcher, a mage or two could be prevented from using their spells."

He turns back to the wounded, relentlessly attempting to bring about healing.
