RL Session Date: 02/13/03

PCs in Attendance: Majakian,Jelani, Zee, Raylen, Hurley

DMed by PCDM Liriel, subbing for DM Colgere

Summary:

The group has explored (somewhat) the chilly room and have discovered a *nasty* mold keeping them from getting to a small .. ok ok LARGE fortune in gold. Raylen is still reeling a bit from the heat energy that was drained from him as he approached it too closely. Jelani and Majakian have tried without success to get near the tablet in the alcove, but they can at least *see* it's a tablet. Liriel, Hurley, and Zee, stationed at the door, report three giant spiders approaching from across the shaft room, evidently intent on making a meal of the group.

*This is the first TT for my new group*

Group - No name yet

Characters Present: Mila, Alsyn, Ranak

Characters Missing: None

Session Length: 4 hours

Session Date: 08/28/03

Game Time: 08/07/733

Location: Tanninshire and surrounding area

Summary: Introduction for the group who have answered Lord Algions call to assist Tanninshire. Mila and Alsyn meet up with Ranak and Colgere in an empty hall soon filled by the Mountainlord with food and furnishings. The newly formed group is given their task to bring back supplies from Holstern to Tanninshire for the refugees. Colgere offers them each payment in gold, which Mila takes while Alsyn and Ranak request access to the Library of the Citadel. The group retires to their rooms for the night, getting ready to leave the next morning.

Ranak's Version:

Doderia the 7th, Raocark, 733-

It was easy for Ranak to get to Dwarf town today. No dwarf could get this far in Ruch before being split in two. Well, maybe past Teethkicker clan, they are weak anyways. Been ten sleeps since Ranak has not seen Rhade. She went home. My leg is better too. Stupid lance. Ranak should be faster.

Town Ranak is in is Tanninshire. Way in belly of ground. Another town is lower than this one. Met two slags and the Thr Priest Colgere. Ranak is taking slags to Holstern to get food. Colgere says Syth are below, taking dwarfies homes. They attack from below now, and dwarfs still won’t tell the rest. They will be responsible if this gets worse. Colgere says he sent word out though. Colgere made his sword talk. He must be strong with Thr.

Slags look nice. Colgere made us sleep in our own rooms though. So Ranak writes instead. Ranak is going with one slag to look at the books, read up on some stuff. Leave for Holstern tomorrow in Colgere's tunnel.

XP award: As per Thardferr standards

Treasure: 25 gp for Alsyn, Access to the Tanninshire library for Mila & Ranak and promise of future payment (50 gold each if complete, or something PC’s can negotiate)

IC Game Date: TBD (Got to ask Kluu for this), but is before assault on the Fortress and the Marathon session

Session Details:

Characters Not Present (NPC'd): Dinmet

Session Length: Approx. 4 hours

Session Date: 03/14/05

IC Game Date: TBD (Got to ask Kluu for this), but is before assault on the Fortress and the Marathon session

Session Details:

With Sembral's blessing, Thragnar is able to remove the fog obscuring the group's vision. With the way clear, the group has a decision to make: Continue straight to the east, or head south. The group decides to chase after the guard who went south, as a ringing alarm can be heard that way.
Slowly making their way through the cavern, the group discovers an opening leading down, and a hallway leading to several "rooms". Investigating the hallway, Swaniff is struck by a brute of a man, but the spell of stoneskin on him protects him. Gathering most of the group, they decide to go after the man, who laughs, and then runs into the wall, appearing to disappear. Following the man, the group is ambushed by invisible foes, and a huge battle commences.

High point: My NPC laughing at the group, freaking the group out with the illusionary wall, finally getting some serious combat in.

Session Length: Approx. 4 hours

Session Date: 03/21/05

IC Game Date: TBD (Got to ask Kluu for this), but is before assault on the Fortress and the Marathon session

Session Details:

The fight that began during the last session continues. Spells fly, and blood is drawn, but for awhile, the battle seems to be a stalemate. Yet, eventually, a couple of the mercenaries fall victim to a paralysis spell, and the HotND are finally victorious. Capturing the mercenaries, they begin to strip them of their equipment and interrogate them. At first it seems the group won't get much info out of the mercenaries, but one of them decides that her life is worth cooperating, and promises to lead the group to the Cabal, a trio of Fyrrean priests who seem to be the masterminds behind the Fire Gate complex. As the group gets ready to head down to the next level, Jan'doire tries to open a chest found nearby. Avoiding a needle trap, he is unable to avoid a plume of dust that spreads out upon opening the chest, covering everyone nearby.

High point: Ending the session on a cliffhanger, as the group is worried about what the dust may have done to them.

Low Point: Dinmet not being able to make the session, my NPCs not doing more damage to the group.

XP Award: Per Thardferr standards (XP being awarded at end of adventure.)

Treasure: Will be posted on the DM boards.

Session Details:

Finishing their explorations on the current level, and having made sure they would not be followed, the group continues down in search of the Cabal, and the stone giants. On the level below, they run into a clan of bugbears, who are strangely not interested in fighting. Getting some info from the bugbears, the group moves out the the next level, where they really begin to notice the heat in the place. Searching around, the captive mercenary who agreed to help them points out where the Cabal's tabacle is. Unfortunately, the group sets off a couple of traps getting into the tabacle, including one the removes most of their magical protections. As they finally enter the tabacle, they are greeted by the leader finishing a spell that causes some of the party to become utterly confused.

High point: Love the Chaos spell Smiley Also, Gul-Shad saying after the session:

Gul-Shad: I'd just like to say Colgere.  "I HATE YOU!".

Low Point: Dinmet not being able to make the session.

Session Length: Approx. 4 hours

IC Game Date: TBD (Got to ask Kluu for this), but is before assault on the Fortress and the Marathon session

Session Details:

At the start of the battle with the Cabal, it appears the group is at a big disadvantage, being hit with a Chaos spell. But the group manages to recover quickly, thanks to a spell by Damian that forces the Chaos spell to end. Once feed, the group is then able to confront the Cabal's first line of defense: skeletons, zombies and some unknown undead monster that looks like a bloated corpse. As the bloated corpses get close to the group, they attack....themselves. This unleashes their horrifying attacks, a concussion blast that also spreads a vile pus everywhere. The first 2 bloated monsters explode in this manner, but the third is even worse, also spreading a gas in addition to the puss. The group manages to get past these 3 monsters, and the rest of the undead, making their way to the Cabal, and to their surprise, a former member of the Daggers of Edilar, Skrot. As the battle rages on, a fire elemental and an efreeti are summoned, and yet, they are banished by the group's magics. In an attempt to defeat the leader of the Cabal, Damian teleports near him. unfortunately, the leader grabs Damian, intending to throw him into a fiery pit of doom, so to speak. Fortunately for Damian, he survives (barely) the attempt, but is left with permanent scars. The leader disappears into the flames, and the other 2 members of the Cabal are subdues and captured. As they are interrogated, Skrot comes free of the Cabal's control, and reveals the way to the Fire Gate. Using the feywind, Swaniff is able to reveal the staircase leading down to the Fire Gate. As the are about to descend, Jan'doire again tries to open a chest, and nearly blows himself up.

High point: Nearly killing Damian and Jan'doire, actually having a much more difficult combat for the PCs.

Low Point: Dinmet not being able to make the session.

XP Award: Per Thardferr standards (XP being awarded at end of adventure.)

Treasure: Will be posted on DM boards.

Session Details:

Having beaten the Cabal, the group now finds the Fire Gate as the last obstacle to the giants. At first, they are at a loss as to how to get past it, as both the Fyrre feywind and Skrot's keystone are unable to get them past, however, they try them together, and are finally able to get past the gate. Finally meeting the giants, the group learns of what happened, and tries to convince the giants to help. The giants say they may help in getting their kin free from the Fortress, but make no promises. The group decides to split up, half leaving with the giants via a blessing from Terrarie, the other leaving back the way they came in. Once outside, the two halves of the group meet up, and Thragnar is blessed by Sembral with a great gift to his hammer and armor by Sembral for his efforts.
