DM name: Myth

Group - Wednesday night Myth's Mighty Munchkins

Players Present: Gaiden, Brendon, Tekhtarast, Angus, Taliesin, Draven (No Jarad)

Game Time: Current. Summer.

Location: The mountains southeast of Lost Town.

Description of the game: During the night, the orc bandit captives were murdered. Draven found the perpetrator, to the party's surprise. Bren. Much discussion ensued, ending with Bren nearly attacking Tekhtarast. The group, understanding his inner torment, vow to help him to recover.
The party travelled into the abandoned dwarven mines. They explored them, finding a pair of enchanted silver bells, an old shrine to Terrarie, a maze of mining tunnels, a hidden Guard Post, and a collapsed tunnel. Also, Angus spoke with a group of dwarven skeletons, discovering them to be Protectors of their graves, and not tormented souls. Angus felt prompted to excavate the collapsed tunnel, and discovered a large, strange contraption.

Treasure Found: Two enchanted silver bells, a dwarven child's toy, an odd (?gnomish?) contraption.

Myth
DM
 15:00:01 on Dec 30, 1999
DM name: Myth, assisted through NPC jamming by Barkeep

Group - Wednesday night Myth's Mighty Munchkins

Players Present: Gaiden (for an hour), Brendon, Tekhtarast, Draven (No Jarad, Angus, or Taliesin)

Game Time: Current. Summer.

Location: The mountains southeast of Lost Town, and the forest to the northeast thereof.

Description of the game: The party investigated the strange machine and determined that it's gnomish. They oiled it, loaded a boulder into it, and attempted to figure out how it works, but were unable to do so without a gnome or dwarf for assistance.
Next, they travelled in search of the Worgs which killed Aspen, long ago. They found a Dryad tree, and spoke with the Dryad. Bren was overcome by some force and attacked her, so the party tied him and quickly left.
After nearly losing Draven to the Wild River crossing, the party was guided to the Worg lair by a helpful, fearless coyote. Here the party dispatched of most of the huge beasts in ferocious combat. Hurl ran into the creatures' cave, and was flung out, broken and lifeless. A massive Hill Giant stepped forth and is about to violently confront the group, next Session.

Treasure Found: None, though the gnomish contraption was investigated and Faile caught a deer. Does that count?... Smiley

XP earned per PC: Approximately 100/level/hour, plus good-RP perks of 10-50 when warranted.

DM name: Myth, "The Butcher of Tharderr"

Group - Wednesday night Myth's Mighty Munchkins (soon to be renamed)

Players Present: Gaiden, Bren, Tekhtarast, Draven, Taliesin, Angus (No Jarad)

Game Time: Current. Mid-to-late Summer.

Location: The forests east of Lost Town.

Description of the game: Lady Luck frowned upon the party during this battle. Each swing of the giant's club was met with soft elven flesh. Two surviving worgs rallied to the giant, and the party only managed to beat a retreat due to the apparently superstitious giant's fleeing when an odd coyote appeared and howled. The party set up camp, while Tekh and Draven tracked the coyote. The trackers found an old man, later revealed as "Caligor", who spouted drivel at them for a bit, then promised the group that the "sons of the forest" would ensure their safety that night. Bren tasted of the leprechaun watchman's liquor, and got very affectionate toward his companions. After a night of rest and recuperation, the party returned to the giant's cave, but found it empty. As they searched, one of the previous day's surviving worgs returned, and the party now prepares to battle it.

Treasure Found: None.

XP earned per PC: Approximately 100/level/hour, plus good-RP perks of 10-50 when warranted.

PC Spotlight: Taliesin, for an incredible backstab, following by a truly aerodynamic treetrunk-club-launched face-furrow-in-the-ground landing.

DM name: Myth, "The Butcher of Tharderr"

Group - Wednesday night The Fellowship of the Hawk

Players Present: Gaiden, Bren, Tekhtarast, Draven, Taliesin, Angus (Jarad has been lost to RL workload increase)

Game Time: Current. Mid-to-late Summer.

Location: The forests east of Lost Town, and then CoopersvilleForge.

Description of the game: Billy the Giant was felled, and all of his worg "Doggies." Caligor appropriated the corpse, and instructed the party to make haste to CoopersvilleForge, to accompany Dylsara to Edilar. Various goodies were found in the Giant's sack, one of which (a big gaudy ring) was lost to Leprechaun trickery. In the giant's bag was a magical amulet that Aspen had worn.
The party travelled for nearly a month (making up the time that SHOULD have been passing for the last four Sessions.)
In CoopersvilleForge, Bren turned himself in to the guards to stand trial for his previous crimes. Taliesin was caught stealing, and fined. The party currently ponders how to visit with Dylsara, as CoopersvilleForge bustles with preparations for Torin Brand's upcoming official Coronation as Emperor.

Treasure Found: A strange rod, much coinage, a gemstudded ring (lost to Leprechauns), Aspen's magical amulet.

PC Spotlight: Gaiden, for a SWELL swordswing that decapitated a worg the size of a horse. Triple damage. Plus, his DM-annoyingly effective use of Mirror Image. Nearly 40 points of damage went to illusionary images of Gaiden. We HATES it, Gaiden.

Group - Wednesday night The Fellowship of the Hawk - Subgroup

Players Present: Tekhtarast, Draven

Game Time: Current. Mid-to-late Summer.

Location: CoopersvilleForge (Watchers' Guild and Royal Palace).

Description of the game: This side-track Session involved Tekh and Draven insistently acquiring a brief meeting with Dylsara, niece of the Elven King. They were hampered greatly by the preparations for Torin Brand's upcoming official Coronation as Emperor. Tekh and Draven convinced her to leave with them for Edilar in one week, and may meet again soon with Speaker Eldo, elven representative on Torin's council.

(No real need to bless this ticket, it's a wee side-spurt, about an hour long, was all.)

Location: CoopersvilleForge (Royal Palace).

Description of the game: This side-track Session involved Tekh and Draven speaking with Speaker Eldo and Dylsara. The two elves met with Eldo, who agreed that Dylsara should return to Edilar with them. Dylsara burst in, and said that she'd rethought the trip, and didn't wish to leave her "friend," Torin Brand. Plus, King Barden commanded her to Coops until summoned, and she doesn't feel that the warning is of sufficient import to break that command.

Myth
DM
 15:14:24 on Jan 31, 2000
DM name: Myth, "The Butcher of Tharderr"

Group - Wednesday night The Fellowship of the Hawk

Players Present: Gaiden, Bren, Draven, Taliesin, Angus, Tekhtarast

New PCs: D'Ellis, Aeron Tevesh

Game Time: Tramic

Location: CoopersvilleForge.

Description of the game: The party met with D'Ellis and Aeron, and invited them with the group to defend Dylsara during the Coronation, on the following Morning. Tekhtarast and Gaiden returned from testing as IMG Mages.

Taliesin informed the party that he had reason to believe Speaker Eldo was in danger from the Shadow Warriors, the elite orcish assassins. He seemed very nervous to elaborate on this information.

The entire party dressed up in full regalia for the Coronation. They gained an interview with J'Lanth, elven head of the military for CoopersvilleForge, and tried to convince him to summon Speaker Eldo. Brendon and Draven were appointed to guard Dylsara. The party was secreted in a meeting room while the Royal Procession swept past and into the Market Square. J'Lanth left to attend to business, and to look for Eldo. As Torin's speech rang out, the party debated quite heatedly what would best serve Eldo, Dylsara, and Lord Brand. Suddenly, Taliesin collapsed. He'd apparently been poisoned by needle to his heel. Angus learned that only by drinking his own blood could he be saved, and the party accomplished this. As they finished, they heard an outcry from nearby in the Palace that Eldo was slain. Running to investigate, they were met by smoke and flames. They rushed to the Coronation grounds, and attempted to safeguard both Torin and Dylsara.

Both of the two Royal Persons were actively and dangerously engaged in assisting locals during the panic and flames. Tekhtarast was nearly killed in "saving" Torin from a collapsing building, but Lord Brand seemed to have no need of such rescue. He displayed the unnerving ability to teleport away from danger's path, and Himself saved several would-be fatalities from the flames.

Dylsara possessed no such magical luck, however, and Bren decided to take matters, and the unwilling Princess, into his own hands. He firmly placed her upon Gaiden's flying mount, and Gaiden escorted the Princess (with a bit of in-flight turbulence) to safety.

The rest of the party regrouped at the Watchers' Guildhouse (Findholme's Fine Leathergoods) and managed to save part of that building from the flames.

Treasure Found: None

PC Spotlight: Tekhtarast, for leaping into a burning building, and roasting quietly while people worried about Torin. Also, for providing some semblance of leadership during the chaos and confusion.

Myth
DM
 12:35:05 on Feb 03, 2000
DM name: Myth, "The Butcher of Tharderr"

Group - Wednesday night The Fellowship of the Hawk

Players Present: Gaiden, Bren, Draven, Taliesin, Angus, Tekhtarast, D'Ellis, Aeron Tevesh

Game Time: mid and late Tramic

Location: CoopersvilleForge, SpringsoninatownForge, RattleTown Branch.

Description of the game: Much Travel. The party decided to leave quickly to escort Dylsara back to Edilar. The south road was blocked, so they headed north. Passing through the Leserd Forest, they misplaced D'Ellis (who rejoined them later with 5 horses and many supplies.) They travelled about a week north, to SpringsoninaForge.

At Springs, the party rested in the main square while contemplating Tavern rooms. Aeron played a lively tune, and the group began to dance, including Dylsara. Tekh thought that the elven princess dancing with human commoners might be a bit inappropriate, and informed her of this. Brendon stood nearby watching Dylsara protectively. His vigilance was rewarded.

A human man struck out at Dylsara with a poisoned dagger. Tekhtarast took the blow, instead, and Draven and Bren made short work of the would-be assassin. Taliesin vanished to acquire rooms, while the group explained their innocence to the local guards, and searched the corpse. They found a disturbing note thereon.

The group decided to press onward, but Taliesin was impossible to find. Some 3 hours later, he returned, seeming quite pleased with himself. Most of the rest of the group was not so pleased with his abscence. They set out very early, and spent a few days riding east to RattletownBranch.

They circumvented the city, and camped alongside the river to the south. Angus requested knowledge from Terarrie, and was informed that the Princess' life was in danger that night. Someone noticed furtive shapes watching from the darkness, and the party drew steel. The shapes attacked.

The bandits proved no match for the heroes. They were quite quickly and soundly defeated, and are now being questioned.

Treasure Found: Pocket change, 5 horses and supplies recovered by D'Ellis, information from the assassin.

PC Spotlight: Aeron spent the evening not doing much overtly, but contributing much in the background. His spotlight was during the dance, when he entertained much of the village. His offhand comments are also much appreciated.

Myth
DM
 17:53:50 on Feb 10, 2000
DM name: Myth, "The Butcher of Tharderr"

Group - Wednesday night The Fellowship of the Hawk

Players Present: Gaiden, Bren, Draven, Taliesin, Angus, Tekhtarast, D'Ellis, Aeron Tevesh

Game Time: late Tramic

Location: Just south of RattleTown Branch, at "Trader's Ferries."

Description of the game: The bandits were argued over, and threatened. Dylsara finally ordered all but the leader released, since there was no way to see justice meted out without slowing the travel speed. The leader, after his men were released, appeared cooperative. When he made a quick motion, he was knocked senseless... and died by pinprick of a poison needle. It was unclear whether his death was accidental or suicide.

Arriving at the rough-and-tumble "town" of Trader's Ferries, the party got rooms at the least wild-looking Tavern, the "Wench's Bosoms." Aeron played for the wildly appreciative goblin/human/gnome clientele, and the place got rowdy. The party insisted that Dylsara retire to the rooms, which she did. D'Ellis, meanwhile, had vanished. Gaiden was scouting the next day's river crossing by Ferry.

After nearly an hour, D'Ellis returned. He summoned several companions, and left again. Not long after, a fire was discovered. It was destroying a (different) Tavern as the party fled town. Those who left with D'Ellis returned scorched, and bearing several tomes.

The party camped a few hours south, and in the morning purchased passage from a passing Ferry (not the Fey kind... but rather the kind with oars), owned by a goblin who spoke no common. The ferry crossing took several trips, during which one of the horses was lost to a Giant Gar in the river. Trillym was endangered, and Taliesin risked his life to save her, nearly perishing himself in the attempt.

The party is now on the EAST bank of the Trading Canal.

Treasure Found: A jeweled chest and contents (unexplored at this time), a bag of gems worth about 400 endors, half a dozen books, other unexplored loot, information.

Casualties: Everyone who messed with D'Ellis. One guard knocked cold, one spy knocked cold, and one apparent leader chopped down. Also, another suspicious individual fought in the cellar, killed, and left to burn.

PC Spotlight: D'Ellis "Superelf" of Navelorn, who took down every foe he met, only using blades when necessary. Plus, he has a way of sneaking off to do things that need doing, without causing a big stir. Oh, yeah, and wine gives him gas, but don't go spreading that part around.
