pulls out my whip *CRACK* alright..I need a vict...errr..Volunteer to look up sites/hotels/cabins for at least 8-14 people..at least I think thats how many want to go. Like Isaid I know nothing about Newport..is there anyone that has been there before and can recommend places?

It's on the Oregon coast almost directly west from Portland.

I've been there before, but couldn't tell you much about it. I'll do some searching on the internet try to find a baseline for pricing.

Here are a couple places that could fit lots of people and are big enough..maybe a bit bigger than the cabin from Geekfest2..although the pricings are a bit more, we would have to call to see what a group rate/ weekend rate would be..

I believe we had decided on the last weekend of March? say the 26-28? fri-sun? or longer like a thurs-sun or fri-mon? Speak up folks.

It just occurred to me that you should find a DM that can garauntee he will be there to run a game. There has beenno talk of this on the DM side so I can only assume that no DM has decidee to run a game for the Geekfest yet.

I won't do it cause I can't garauntee I can make it. Though I may have every intention of doing it, like last year, I may not be able to at the last minute.

Last I knew Myth was still interested, although I know he has hit a couple rough patches lately... I figured he knew it would be the last weekend in March, so He had enough notice, but sometimes real life interferes...

I wont decide on the site cuz other people will also be paying not just myself. If we want cheaper there are always the local hotels and just ask how much thier conference rooms are.. I think we need to know a definate answer on who can go and who cant so we know how much we are lookin at. I guess Ill decide on when.. ANd the dates are set at 25-28 of march, thats a thurs-sunday. FIgure the extra day (thurs) will get everyone settled in and if people come in late it will be ok... we can start ROleplaying on friday.

If I make it or not, I am too poor to contribute much, just give me some floor space next to another person's bed and I'll be fine.  Still have plans to come, just post the where and when and directions to get me nearenough to ask for more and I'll try.

BTW I'd like to play a precreated character if that is posible, makes it easiest on the DM if I can't show.

Kluu  I dont think that will be a problem, but I have one, UNlike last year, I am not making enough money to put a deposit down on a condo for us all, So I cant rent it out.. SOmeone else will have to do it, Or we can all book rooms in a cheapie motel and find a central point for us qll to gather liek a conference room, I cant do this on my own guys..If you want this thing to happen at the end of march I need confirmations of people going and some help.

My coming has become iffy...the surgery some of you know about, that I've been waiting on for a long time, may be happening within the next 4-5 weeks at soonest.

However, if it doesn't coincide with geekfest all those in the Seattle area are welcome to come pay a visit when I'm there.

You'll be in Seattle? I may come and Visit RIthas...WEll i dont think it woul dbe as much fun without you there.  Ive noted to Myth and his group on thier boards.. I was wondering if people wanted to push the date back say to summertime?
Thanks Aeron hunny for the offer, we shall see what we can do. But here is another problem, these places are long distance, so I cant call them since I do not have long distance Nor can afford to get it. So someone else wanna try calling around to those condos and such? Otherwise I will go to Hotels.com again and rent myself a room. Wanna share AEron? *wink* Im a free gal once more.
