Players: Ranathar, Eldrich, Alexander the Great, Eldrac (rest of group NPC'd)

This session accomplished the killing of Ankheng, further cave exploration, kobold killing and capture of a kobold.

Kobold split the group since Paladin refused to travel with the evil creature, as did the Dwarf and fighters.

All are headed to CoopersvilleForge. On the way the fighting group is travelling with a Gnome/Elf caravan, hired as a guard against kobold attacks.

Paladin's group travelled with Gnome caravan for 3 days travel south toward CoopersvilleForge.

Elves in the party were in hiding when riders came from the south looking for sign of Elf murderers that they could report to the law.

Later there was an encounter with Gnolls where fighting was avoided by a show of force by the group.

Paladin's group split from the Gnome/Elf caravan when it turned east toward Aldred and the group received its pay. Group is continuing south toward CoopersvilleForge.

1/13/2000 Thursday night game
Whisperpoint's group
Playing: Ranathar, Alexander the Great, Eldrich, Iza, Blobion Wildsticks
NPC'd for night: Rafael, Sophitia

Time played 7.5 hours total

Group caught up with Blobion Wildsticks and Iza on the road south toward CoopersvilleForge. Added them to the group.
Iza let a wooden stork allow him to select the group as his travelling companions.

During the first day of the session a troll attacked the group. Much of the grassland beside the road burned up on the west side of the road during the defeat of the attacking troll.

The second evening the group came under the attack of three hobgoblins. When talk failed to stop the attacking hobgoblins, the group had to dispatch them. They found a number of very valuable gems on the hobgoblins. The group thinks the gem value much higher than would be expected on the likes of those.

The group travelled another morning and the session had to end on the verge of another encounter, nearing CoopersvilleForge.

Thursday Night 1/20/2000

Players: Ranathar, Eldrich, Alex, Iza, Sophitia, Blobion (Rafael,Arcane,Eldrac were lost)
playing time 7.5 hours total

Group caught up with a caravan heading into CoopersvilleForge with a gnome trader, hauling cloth.

Ranathar learned about current events from members of Order of the Sword who were stationed along the road near town watching people pass.

Ranathar obtained a sheild & armor from the guild armory and room for the night for himself & part of the group.

Other part of the group entertained themselves at Pubs and an Inn.
Party made individual visits to Chappels, Shops, Mercantiles, Weaponsmith, etc...
Much catching up on events, and releasing of tensions following the long hard journey....
Discovery that very valuable gems discovered during an unsuccessful hobgoblin raid on the party belonged to an Elven family, and were turned in at the Order of the Sword for a reward.

Monday night play
1/24/2000

Ranathar solo trip getting supplies, preparations.
3.5 hours

Ranathar goes to Chapel, running errand for priest, getting special holy oil.
Then he helps the priest, hurried by the preparations for the coronation. Priest learns to let others take over tasks instead of directing everything himself. Rewards Ranathar with spell to sword.

Ranathar returns for last piece of armor, from the armorer.

delayed posting for Coronation finish

I already explained the sword, thanks, Marc.

Played Tuesday night : 8 hours (into Wednesday)

Final activities prior to going to see Coronation. Purchased the riding horses and left them at the stables except for the mount left with Zetetic Society for the rest of the party which is catching up later. Didn't get War horses since too few available & too few in party are able to ride/control a horse.

Day of Coronation party leaves early to get good spot close to Torin Brand.
They hear the speech and then as Torin rushes off at the news of Eldo, the party follows, stopped by the Order of the Sword and questioned piercingly and incessantly.

Eventually they leave, Ranathar being recognized as a member of the Order of the Sword. Party goes for horses with plans to track down the killers of Eldo, thinking they will find information in Rattletown.

Trip to stables is fraught with fog, smoke, and screaming townsfolk. The stables are not on fire, but the fires have reaches straw next to the stables so the party is side tracked into helping put out the fires at the stable.

Regular Thursday night game
2/3/2000

Players: Ranathar, Eldrich, Iza, Blobion, Alex,

Once fire out at Stables, part went to Zetetic Society to find Eldrac and Arcane. Couldn't locate. On way out of town began gather people from the streets to lead out of town and away from the burning buildings.
Spent the day and night recuing and helping Townsfolk and visitors.
Spent 3 weeks helping rebuild the town and find belongings in the rubble including casks and barrels in the cellars of taverns.
Iza entertained folk throughout the town, especially the children during the rebuilding.
While the adults may still question the cause of the fire and destruction, the children of the town know that the story about the fiend Fimshazka and the black evil soot colored ashes that settled from his destruction, explain the evils that have occured in the town.

Much guild and weapon prof & NWP business also occured during the 3 week stay in town.

Playing time: 6 hours

(Eldrich and Blobion NPC'd)

Playing time: 6.5 hours

Group gathered together to leave for Rattletown. Prior to leaving Iza and Ranathar attempted to see Torin Brand and obtain a request for supplies and help from Rattletown for CoopersvilleForge. They were not able to see Torin, but did receive a letter requesting aid from Rattlestown.
Leaving Coopersville the party witnessed the hordes of homeless along the road.
Many people had already built dugouts to live in since there are no other buildings to live in.
One and a half days out from CoopersvilleForge the group is attacked by 13 Hobgoblins suffering many injuries before killing all but one of them, which they have tied up to question.

Players: Ranathar, Blobion, Alex, Eldrich, Sophitia (Iza NPC'd)

Playing time: 8 hours

Thanks to the capture of the Hobgoblin, Ranathar wanted the group to return to Coopersville Forge.
Iza, Sophitia and Blobion scouted the main Hobgoblin campsite before catching up with the rest of the group headed back to Coopersville Forge. On the trip back the group heard rumors about events around the city.
Many people are planning to leave due to food shortages. Others because of political unrest.
A group of men they passed inexplicably followed them and then attacked them, apparently after the hobgoblin prisoner. The party arrives in Coopersville Forge with 4 prisoners instead of 1, and some party members on death's doorstep. They visit to chapel for the church of the Creator first for the mending of bodies.
They look forward to mending their supplies with the gnome trader tonight.

Ranathar turned over prisoners to Magistrate. Hobgoblin for attempted murder. 3 men prisoner charges reduced to failing to follow orders and attempting to help Hobgoblin escape. They were sentenced to helping with city rebuilding.

2/22/2000
Ranathar is turned down by the Order of the Sword for a warhorse. They are too much in need within town with Gurm’s folk’s right outside of town.
Ranathar asked for troops to help with taking a Hobgoblin group prisoner, but could not convince the Sargeant that they had done some wrong. Also, there were threats too great in town at present so any activity against the hobgoblins would need to wait for the next large caravan to Rattletown.
Sophitia visits the priest at the insistence of Ranathar, who feels she is demon possessed since she talks to herself and kills all enemies to chopped and bloodied bits.
Father Halk at the chapel of the Creator tries to help Sophitia with her problems. He then helps Ranathar try to be accepting, yet cautious of her.
The extra weapons get traded for gold in the square and the party is able to get some rations to prepare for the trip to Rattletown. Sophitia shows her exceedingly good trading abilities with many merchants at their carts.

5 hours playing time.

Thursday night group

2/24/00

Players: Ranathar, Sophitia, Blobion

Guild joining and tattooing occurred at IMA. Some heart to heart conversations involving attraction of party members to others. Healing occured at rebuilt chapel of the Creator. Remains quite stark.
Still a large number of homeless milling about town through night. Morning leaving Coopersville Forge for Rattletown, passed by slow moving masses of hungry humanity all headed toward Rattletown.
The masses of homeless search for edible plants all along the road.
The party makes it to the Leserd Forest to check on the farming couple they know there.
The party learns how to straighten a leaning privvy. Learn to appreciate the abilties of each other. The numerous attempts at lassoing were unimportant. The end result was a very level outhouse.

Playing time: 6hrs 45 minutes.

Thursday night group (though we ended friday morning)

3/2/2000

group : Ranathar, Sophitia, Blobion
(alex, Eldrich and Iza npc'ed)

Description : The party continued down the tradeing way on there way to Rattletown Branch. Before they got to town they came across a burial site along side of the rode for a man named "Driver" and also a party of hungry refugees from CoopersvilleForge. After helping them out the proceded to Rattletown Branch.

Once in Rattletown Branch the delivered a scroll from Torin Brand to the Mayor of Rattletown Branch, and asked questions concerning the recent murders and jail break. After finding out where to find more info at they left for the guard house where the jail break occured, and after some very hard translations by Sophitia they learned that the jail break was by a goblin and orc that were seen heading south.

The party then left for the Pit Viper Tavern where Ranathar seeked an audeince with Johnny Crowning the local barkeep. After discussing some info about Hubert the man found hanging from the gates of Ashley Mansion and some un-friendly eye contact by several orcs, they headed for the temple of the creator for sheltor for the night.

The next day the party did some tradeing at the Fairgrounds and asked questions about ashley mansion. Ranathar soon learned more info on the Mansion an proceded to find a way inside.

A small passageway covered in brush was found in the back wall surrounding the vast mansion. The tunnel lead into the basement, the party then explored upstairs a bit. Sophitia found an interesting piece of artwork, before the party busted into a room with 2 bugbears in it. While blobion retreated after being *clubbed* by one of the bugbears he slowly backed up into 1 of 2 more bugbears. A long tedious battle ensuded and Eldrich went down unconcious, but not dead. After the party defeated the bugbears, they found a note containing some very important info to Ranathar and the order of the sword concerning the BA.

Session length : 9 1/2 hours

Treasure : some notes, and valuable information

Casulties: 4 Bugbears, almost Eldrich, and Blobion took over the #1 spot on polluxs to kill list

Session spotlight :

#1)The poor paladin leaving the Pit Viper tavern worrying about being jumped by a couple of orcs.

#2)Blobion walking backwards away from 2 bugbears infront of the group and bumping ever so softly into 2 bugbears behind him

#3)Blobion playing the "bowling Ball Gnome" barreling through the party running from the surprise of 2 bugbears behind him also.

**whisperpoint and the group would personally like to thank pollux from the bottom of there goodwilled hearts for helping in that 9 1/2 hour session I call a marathon.**

ps:guys dont worry about it I enjoyed scareing you feable minded pcs. Blobion dont go downstairs or I will haunt you.

Time 2.5 hours

The trip from Gus and Gretchen's farm, south of the Leserd Forest, to Ruch and close to Rattletown.
Eldrich gets a new robe.
Ranathar begins teaching Blobion to ride a horse proficiently. Blobion begins teaching Ranathar about Religion.
Much travelling and talking and sighting of a large elk. Dealing with a lot of cold rain.

Freedom’s Lightbearers

Thursday 3/9/2000

Players: Ranathar, Sophitia, Blobion, Alex, Iza

Following the defeat of the bugbears the party gathered to decide next move. Ranathar brought up an observation about Blobion not healing Eldrich before healing himself and questioned
Blobion’s faith in the Creator. Wordy accusations and denials ensued. Iza joined in the fray of moral obsession. Eventually Blobion stomped out of the
mansion while Iza and Ranathar carried on the discussion.
Eldrich rested his wounds. Sophitia wandered around upstairs. Alex discovered the fire in the entrance of the mansion and the party broke out a
window and broke through the doors to escape.
They were then conscripted into helping put out the fire by townsfolk who accused them of being sythian mages and setting the fire themselves. The
party was successful convincing folks they were not sythian mages but there were still suspicions they set the fire to Ashley Mansion. Blobion came up missing and Alex and Ranathar and Sophitia helped the guards chase Blobion all about the countryside. Even though Blobion released his
horse he managed to stay a step ahead for hours.
The chase ended with Blobion netted and shackled by Ranathar. Blobion appears to be facing charges for setting fire to Ashley mansion, running from guards, accusing his party of being Sythian mages, and whatever else can be thought up.

Time played: 8.5 hours.
